Terms Great Glen Wildlife
Booking Enquiries:
On receiving a provisional booking by phone or email we will hold places for ten days. If a booking form and deposit are not recieved within ten days the places become available for reallocation.
Booking Confirmation:
All bookings are made and accepted subject to the terms set out in the following conditions. On receipt of your deposit and signed booking form, a confirmation together with checklist of wildlife for the tour in question will be forwarded.
Payment of Balance:
An invoice for the balance will be sent to you about ten weeks before the tour. Outstanding payment should reach us not later than six weeks before the starting date of a tour, unless issue of the invoice is late.
For all bookings made within six weeks of the trip starting date, full payment must be made at the time of booking.
Booking Cancellations:
Cancellations must essentially be made in writing and forwarded by Recorded Delivery Post, and will be endorsed as of the date of receipt. Cancellation over 70 days before the tour departure date results in refund of deposit less 50%. Thereafter charges will be levied as follows:
72-43 days before departure............................50% total cost
42-29 days before departure............................75% total cost
28-1 days before departure..............................100% total cost
Day of departure................................................100% total cost
If any person named in a booking is unable to join the tour (for reasons of injury, illness or similar serious causes) they may transfer their place to another nominated person.
Ensure that your travel insurance provides cover for the eventuality of having to cancel your booking.
If the minimum tour booking-quota is not achieved eight weeks before a starting date, GGW reserves the right to cancel the tour and refund payments in full. A full refund terminates the contract and releases GGW from all liabilities.
Insurance:
Travel insurance is not provided by GGW. We recommend that clients take out adequate insurance to cover those risks associated with travel (medical care, loss of baggage/belongings and cancellation costs) from the time of booking to return. It is a precondition that participants of overseas tours are covered by travel insurance.
Surcharges:
Tours will usually go ahead even with only a small number of bookings. Occasionally, however, a surcharge of up to 10% of the cost may have to be imposed if the tour is to operate. In this event the client would be entitled to cancel and receive full refund of payments. As an option to a surcharge we may, for example, remove packed lunches from the inclusive cost of a tour. This could apply to groups of four or fewer participants.
Liability:
GGW has thoroughly researched all tours described in this brochure, taking reasonable measures to ensure that all transportations, accommodations, restaurants and other facilities used are reputable. GGW, however, has no control over these facilities and shall not be liable for any acts or omissions by any persons or agents in their employ.
GGW does not accept liability for death, personal injury, damage or loss of property caused by agents beyond its control, such as: strikes, civil disorders or natural disasters (force majeur ).
GGW does not accept liability for actions of air or sea carriers, whose liabilities are governed by International Convention. Furthermore, all bookings are subject to the conditions of carriage of such operators.
GGW is not responsible for costs incurred by its clients caused by bad weather or defaults and industrial actions of transport agencies; or, for loss, damage or misdirection of property caused by transport agencies.
