Description: This height of summer event explores the dramatic wild haunts of the north-west Highlands, ranging from Loch Carron in the south to Scourie in the north. We visit the heights above Applecross where Ptarmigan may be found without a strenuous walk, and Loch Maree, which hosts the densest breeding population of Black-throated Divers in Scotland.   

There is opportunity to visit the famous botanic garden at Inverewe where Otters, White-tailed Eagles and Pine Martens are often seen, and to enjoy a gentle cruise around the Summer Isles which often results in sightings of Common Dolphins and Harbour Porpoises.

Wildlife content is extremely diverse, catering well for bird, mammal and wildflower enthusiasts alike, also presenting an array of dragonflies and butterflies including the beautiful Scotch Argus.

This holiday is guaranteed to cater for all spheres of wildlife interest and photography, at the same time providing the ultimate escape for those who simply seek solitude in the tranquility of Scotland’s most awe-inspiring scenery and sparsely populated areas.

Itinerary
Days 1 Sun:
  Morning rendezvous in Inverness followed by journey to Dundonnell, wildlife-watching en route.

Days 2 - 5  Mon - Thu:  Daily excursions featuring easy walks.

Day 6  Fri: Return to Inverness where the tour terminates mid/late afternoon, with transfers provided to accommodation or transport terminals.
